Taking Back the Promises: The Israelites were enslaved in Egypt until God sent Moses to set them free and lead them to the Promised Land; for it was there that they would receive and experience what was promised. The tribes of Israel had a choice; either to cross over the Jordan to take what was promised them or to remain in ‘known territory’ never to receive what God intended for them (Numbers 32). We, like the Israelites, have been set free by the atoning blood of the Lamb, we have been granted access into the Promised Land; and God wants us, His children, to take hold of what is promised. Together, let us step into the ‘unknown’, for we all have the opportunity to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of what Christ has accomplished on the cross.
This Conference targets three main areas in the Christian life: 1) Freedom from sin, 2) Our new identity, and 3) The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Through this conference we all will be further united in vision, and purpose. Are you ready to be empowered? With corporate worship and practical teaching in seminars, this Conference will impart to us a greater passion and joy as we realize and become more rooted in His promises.
“His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust (2 Peter 1:3-4).”
Speakers: 1) Paul Anderson: “Freedom from Sin: Our New Identity” Paul Anderson pastored in Southern California for twenty-five years before coming to Minnesota to direct the work of Lutheran Renewal. During his tenure he founded a seminary, The Master’s Institute, and the Alliance of Renewal Churches, a network of pastors and congregations. This fall he launched a young adult school called The Harvest Project, which grew out of a young adult community that meets every Tuesday night in their home. They also have a house church on Sunday mornings. Paul is the author of five books. He and Karen have six children and five grandchildren.
2) Dan Thorson: “The Free Gift of the Holy Spirit: The Normal Christian Life” Dan Thorson graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead MN with a degree in Religion, Classical Studies, and Philosophy. While there, he led a ministry on campus of 150 college students, and attended a Supernatural ministry school based out of Bethel in Redding California. Dan is the head of ‘Igniter Ministries’ teaching and preaching ministry and has a passion to equip the saints for works of service by helping them step into their ‘supernatural identity’; where the impossible is possible and the abnormal is normal.
